I am not a Blog Whore.
So I told my brother today that I wanted to see his pics from Japan (he lives in the UK and took a holiday there and got back a week ago so it's not like I can just pop round to his flat for a cuppa tea and some picture looking). He told me he had uploaded them all to his facebook account.
I don't have a facebook account.
I don't want a facebook account.
People always invite me to get a facebook account.
I already acquiesced and have a MySpace. That was sacrifice enough.
Must I facebook as well?
Seriously.
What's next?
Second Life?
GAAHHH!
Now I'm going to raise that mini rant with a small bitch and moan.
We had flowers at church decorating the sanctuary, and the tables at our Easter Breakfast. We could take one of the flowers, and pay the church $5 for them. There was one really beautiful daffodil that was white with a peachy center. I thought it was gorgeous. I didn't want to take it off the table before people were done eating, so I put a post it note on it claiming it. After the service I went to pick it up. NOT THERE! Not anywhere in church. Someone saw my note (it was very clear) and took off with my flower anyway.
I'm kinda vexed about it!
Ok.
I'm done for now.
Stay tuned for my next rant...scheduled for sometime next week.

Facebook isn't that bad actually.
What gave you such an awful opinion of it?
Just curious.
I can't speak for GS but I refuse to join Facebook because everyone else is--or at least one is made to feel like that. And right there you have me digging my heels in saying, "No way!" MySpace feels tawdry but I do have an account-- haven't touched it in forever. I'll go one more. I refuse to use Flickr because it is so snobby--and I'm actually a good amateur but no, they'd have you believing you suck--so nuts to that, too.
Sorry for the rant GS--I guess I picked up on your being vexxed about the flowers. That was totally wrong--and in a church?!?
That is so lame that someone took your flower!
But I caved, with a personal caveat: I will actually connect with people! Not just sign them up as friends and leave it. I've ignored friend request (we never talked in high school - why now????) and have removed people I haven't talked to. I know they're there, now, so can always track them down when the desire strikes, but I don't need to how their bowling league is, or that they're happy today.
Upside: I have been able to keep up a bit with friends I like, but have lost touch with. Even been able to visit with some. It takes a bit of work, though. Oh, and I've a word game junkie and it gives me a Scrabble and Boggle outlet with my sisters and mom. :)
