Blogging the Battlestar

Comments

Jen (Vox Jen, not BFF Jen) is joining us for Veronica Mars and Buffy (well, definitely joining me and hopefully you're joining us). I just invited her to join us for Battlestar.

Yes, please don't spoil anything for me. I'm super psyched to start this in a couple weeks (I have plans this week and next week, my family's coming up and they are most emphatically not up for Battlestar Galactica).

If I am suitably moved, I can get through a season in two days.

[this is good]
That sounds like fun. I just mentioned to my husband while reading this that we should watch Battlestar Gallactica but he's not convinced yet.

Watching with a friend is a lot of fun. I had so much fun going through the Buffy series with my friend in law school. Took us all three years and I can measure my time there by what season of Buffy we were on.
I think I shall join you guys starting with Season 2. As I told Kelly via Twitter, I lent this guy I used to work with Season 1, and now I can't track him down to save my life. Grr. I'm actually behind -- still have 3.5, 4, and Razor. Are you guys starting with the miniseries?
Ladies, Season 4 episodes are available (for online streaming) at amazon.com

I just finished watching the entire series a few days ago (all 4 seasons + the miniseries and razor) and *loved* it.
Oooh Oooh Oooh I wish I had time on my hands!

I'll be excited to read you guys doing it, though.
Jen, I think we are, yeah. I think I'm the one that's holding this up. Sorry. :(
I'm inviting my best friend Becky to join us too. I'm hoping she will, and if not for BSG for Veronica Mars and Buffy.
I'm working ahead, and watching and blogging on my laptop only so that if you blow through a season in a 'Weekend' then I have some backup and leeway.
I'm so excited about this!
I actually have all of them on disc except the second half of Season 4. I'm getting it the MOMENT it's released. I LOVE this show too. It's so good and deep.
Me too! And read Baking Cakes in Kigali--it's freaking AMAZING.
I don't have any BSG discs yet, but I want ALL of them (eventually). I didn't think anyone would ever have the guts to make TV like this now - and the ensemble cast just rocks! (Edward James Omos, Mary Mc[what's-her-name], Katee Sackhoff and Grace Park in particular well, the comparative "bad guys," like James Callis and Michael Hogan are great, too - and so is Aaron Douglas, and... I'd better stop raving! ;))

Really, Katee Sackho's range impresses the heck out of me, as Starbuck's such a complex character.... can't be easy to play that kind of role well.
